Home » Recap Capacity Building Training Session for Nisyros Island
Nisyros has great potential for energy self-sufficiency through its wind and solar resources. To support this, the local government plans to establish an energy community.
On March 20th and 21st, the IANOS WP8 team held three training sessions. The first session for local stakeholders and citizens discussed the energy community plans and their benefits. Presentations by Mayor Christopher Koroneos, Andreas Sfakianakis, and Dimitris Katsaprakakis led to lively discussions and concluded with refreshments.
The following day, sessions for primary and high school students focused on energy supply, climate change, and sustainable behaviors. Activities included an interactive treasure hunt and student presentations on sustainability.
