FROM CLEAN ENERGY VISION TO CLEAN ENERGY ACTION
Since its beginning IANOS Consortium worked closely with the Clean Energy for European Island Secretariat. Hence, the Clean Energy for EU Islands Forum 2022, held in Rhodes on the 17-18 May 2022, represented the occasion to present, together with EU sister projects, the commitment of the EU and of the IANOS Consortium towards the improvement and optimisation of the use of energy sources within islands and to make them energy independent from mainland.
During the first day of the Forum, IANOS was introduced with the IANOS project promotional video, in the framework of the “Views from the Islands” to briefly and simply explain to the audience the main objectives of the project.
During the second day, CERTH represented the IANOS Consortium within the session “EXPLORE: Innovation from Horizon2020 projects” dedicated to the technical and non-technical solutions that the project will adopt to perform the clean energy transition on the pilot islands of Terceira (PT) and Ameland (NL), and to be replicated on the fellow islands of Lampedusa (IT), Nysirios (GR) and Bora Bora (FR).
