Webinar Engaging Communities to Participate in the Energy Transition

Event
 -
October 22, 2024
 - 14:30

The shift towards sustainable energy is not just a technological challenge but also a social one. Successful energy transition initiatives hinge on robust community engagement and participation. In cooperation with the New Energy Academy (a brand of project partner New Energy Coalition) we organise a webinar in which we will delve into the core principles that underpin effective community engagement and illustrate these with real-life case studies from IANOS.

Lessons from IANOS Islands

Join the webinar to gather insights into questions such as:

  • Why should communities be engaged and involved in energy transition projects?
  • What motivates communities to participate in the energy transition?
  • How do you design a community engagement strategy?

Programme

The webinar will take place on 22 October 2024 from 14:30 to 16:00 (CEST). The programme includes the following:

  • Introduction to Community Engagement and the IANOS project
  • Designing a Community Engagement strategy
  • Experiences from Engagement sessions on IANOS islands
  • Financial Participation as a community engagement strategy
